Dear New York-Based Volunteers & UpEndo Coalition Members,
We urgently need your voices in Albany this Wednesday to help push the New York State Assembly to move forward on critical endometriosis and menstrual health education legislation.
The New York State Senate has already passed Senate Bill S6227. Now, the companion bill, Assembly Bill A7557, remains stalled in the Assembly Education Committee — and we need advocates, patients, families, and supporters to help show lawmakers why this legislation matters.
Please join the Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound), legislators, clinicians, and fellow advocates for a press conference and advocacy day in Albany.
Press Conference Details:
Wednesday, May 20, 2026
11:00 AM
New York State Capitol, 4th Floor Lobby – Outside of the Gallery
Albany, New York
We will join Senator Monica Martinez and Assemblymember Rebecca Kassay to urge the Assembly to act on this important legislation, which would support including menstrual disorders, including endometriosis, in public school health education curricula.
Far too many young people suffer in silence for years because they are told painful periods are “normal.” This legislation is about awareness, education, earlier recognition of symptoms, and reducing the devastating delays many patients experience before diagnosis and treatment.
We would love for UpEndo Coalition members to:
• Attend the press conference
• Bring signs and help us show strong public support
• Join us in visiting Assembly offices after the event
• Help advocate for the Assembly movement on A7557
The more voices we have in Albany, the stronger our message will be. Thank you for continuing to stand with us and advocate for change.
Warmly,
Jeanne Rebillard
Managing Director
Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound)
